"Mas de Noguera" is an agricultural and livestock-raising farm of about 40 hectares located 70 kilometres from the coast in a mountainous area in the south of the province of Castellón, on the way to Teruel. The nearest village, Caudiel, is approximately 7 kilometres away. The farm consists of four main buildings and several smaller constructions which include:

  1. Lodgings. 4-6 people per room.
  2. Bathrooms with showers and hot water.
  3. Dinning room and kitchen (optional vegetarian menus with home-grown biological products).
  4. Laboratory classroom. Library. Audio-visual lecture room. Meeting room. Multipurpose room (100 m² area with wooden floor). Living room with fireplace.
  5. Workshop on renewable energy. Wind turbine and solar generators.
  6. Water treatment plant.
  7. Stables and farmyards where the sheep, goats, cows, rabbits, ducks, geese and chickens live.
  8. Apiary.

Apiculture and ecological agriculture, as well as the production of bread and pastries, cheese and yoghurt, preserves and marmalades are some of the activities performed at the farm. If you decide to spend a few days in "Mas de Noguera" , it is important to keep in mind that the lodgings are prepared for a decent and comfortable, but not luxurious stay. It is not a hotel.

On the 9th. we will pick you up at the train station in Caudiel to take you to the farm. There is no public transportation to get to "Mas de Noguera". I can personally give you the train timetable as well as additional information you may need. After we have introduced ourselves and known each other a little, a short briefing about the course and the complementary activities will be given. The classes will take place in the morning and the schedule for the rest of the day will include different optional activities which will be programmed jointly according to the interests of the members of the group. These can be cycling (bicycles can be rented in a nearby village. Not included in the price of the course), trekking, activities related to farming, etc.

 

On the 10th. classes will begin. The classes will always be given in Spanish. The method is very interactive. Speaking and writing form the base of the training. We also use audio-visual methods.

The 19th. will be the last day of classes.

The 20 th. will be farewell day. We will accompany you to the train station in Caudiel so you can continue your trip or go back to your country.

Ana Gómez, your teacher, is music teacher and Bachelor of Geography and History. Her pedagogical curriculum is extensive. She worked for four years as a Spanish teacher in a German University and, for the past four years, has been organising different Spanish courses for foreigners as well as working in a language academy.
